  • Teacher Work Day

Tuesday

  • Complete Day One of Dailies 2018-3–discuss as a class.
  • Complete a quick formative assessment of participial phrases using plickers.
  • Complete participial phrase notes and practice in English comp books.
  • Participate in group activity–participial phrases.
  • Homework–finish the prepositional phrase packet assigned before spring break–due Thursday.

Wednesday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt in your Google journal:  What-Would-You-Do Wednesday–What would you do if you could give one person any gift you want?  What would it be, and who would you give it to? Explain.
  • Complete the Word Study #7 Chart–turn in today.

Thursday

  • Complete Day Two of Dailies 2018-3–discuss as a class.
  • Turn in prepositional phrase packets.  
  • Analyze a Winston Churchill speech, highlighting persuasive techniques and logical fallacies and their purpose in the speech–guided practice.

Friday

  • Focused Free-Write Friday–respond in your English comp book.
  • Analyze an Abe Lincoln essay, highlighting persuasive techniques and logical fallacies and their purpose in the speech–group activity.
