  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title:  Mindset Monday–Write about a mistake you have made. What lessons did you learn from that mistake? Explain thoroughly.
  • Paste the Growth Mindset matching activity into your English notebook, page 41.
  • Complete Growth Mindset gallery walk activity in groups.

Tuesday

  • Complete Step One of Mentor Sentences #2–Identifying Subjects and Verbs–discuss as a class.
  • Copy Parts of a Sentence Review notes in your English notebook.
  • Complete the practice activity as a class.

Wednesday

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title: Would You Rather Wednesday–Would you rather be able to live 100 years in the past or 100 years in the future?  Explain your answer.
  • Begin working on Word Study List #1 Choice Board–activities are due next Thursday, October 4.

Thursday

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title: Thinking Thursday–Think of someone you truly admire.  What qualities do you like about that person? Explain why those qualities are admirable.
  • Update our student blogs and sign up for the 2018 Edublogs Blogging Challenge.
  • Sign up for helpful Chrome extensions.

Friday

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title:  Free Topic Friday–Write about anything you want as long as it is appropriate and you don’t mind if I read it.
  • Copy Types of Affixes notes in your English notebook.
  • Paste common roots, prefixes, and suffixes lists in your English notebook.
  • Work on Word Study List #1 Choice Board.
