Just a friendly reminder that you need to spend time working on Vocabulary.com!  You have two lists due before the end of the semester:

“Persuasion and Argument” due by December 7 and

“100 Words Every Middle Schooler Should Know” due by December 14.

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title:  “Turn Around Tuesday”–If you could turn around any event to have a different outcome, what would it be?  Explain why.
  • Put notes on Ethos, Pathos, and Logos in your English notebook and complete a notebook activity.

Wednesday

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title:  “Words of Wisdom Wednesday”–Share with the class some wise words, whether it’s a quote or advice.  Explain why your quote or advice is wise and why people should follow it.
  • Add more notes on Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to our English notebook.
  • Discuss answers to yesterday’s assignment on persuasive appeals–due tomorrow.

Thursday

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title: “Three-Things Thursday”–What are three things you are thankful for?  Explain why.
  • Complete a group activity–analyze persuasive speech for persuasive techniques and language.

  • Respond to the following prompt in Google daily journal–Title:  Free Topic Friday–Write about anything you want as long as it is appropriate and you don’t mind if I read it.
