TEKS of the Week:  8.02, 8.19c, 8.20, 8.21

English:

Monday

  • Respond to journal prompt–Mindset Monday–What will you do to challenge yourself today? Explain why.
  • Continue work from Thursday and Friday–Sentence Combining and Parallel Structure
  • Complete Sentence Combining with Paragraphs assignment.

 

Tuesday

  • Review Sentence Combining and Parallel Structure concepts.

 

Wednesday

  • Respond to journal prompt in online journal–Wise Words Wednesday:  “The problem human beings face is not that we aim too high and fail, but that we aim too low and succeed.” ~Michelangelo; What does this quote mean? How does it relate to you?
  • Finish all of your work for Thursday, Friday, and Monday (two sentence combining documents and parallel structure packet)–due tomorrow at the beginning of class.
  • Write a well-developed paragraph/response to the article linked on today’s post in classroom about balancing your digital life with other aspects of your life.

  • Finish paragraph that was started yesterday.

 

Friday

  • Respond to a journal prompt in your online writing journal–Freewrite Friday:  Write about anything you want as long as you don’t mind if I read it.
  • Get in groups to break apart paragraphs into a group of sentences and recombine, using the six structures we have learned in our notes.
