Monday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt:  Magnificent Monday–Write about how you can make this week magnificent.
  • Finish all work on text structures from last week and turn it in.

Tuesday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt: Top Two Tuesday–Write about your top two favorite hobbies.
  • Complete a speech analysis exercise using Persuasive Language Techniques notes in your English notebook.

Wednesday

  • 8th Graders will spend the whole day at the high school.

Thursday

  • 8th Graders will complete an annual tech assessment.
  • Work on Punctuation Practice packet.  Finish for homework.

 Friday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt:  Free-write Friday–Write about anything you want as long as you don’t mind if I read it.
  • Put notes on Comma Rules in your English notebook.
  • Complete Comma Hunt exercise and paste in notebook. 

 

Pre-AP English

Monday

  • Present group activity on logical fallacies.

  • Respond to a journal prompt:  Three Things Thursday–What are three things (other than physical descriptors) about you that make you unique?  Explain.
  • Text structure challenge:  Take the topic you chose last week, and write about it using a different text structure than the one you used.
