Respond to the following journal prompt:  Would you Rather Wednesday–Would you rather have the ability to fly or the ability to read people’s minds?

 

Complete Dailies assignment–read paragraph and identify/discuss grammatical structures (from Mary Ellen Ledbetter)

Respond to a journal prompt:  Throwback Thursday–What is something we’ve done in class this year that you would like to do again?  Explain why.

Pick a hook from Monday’s notes and write an introduction, complete with bridge and thesis.

 

Friday

Respond to a journal prompt in your online writing journal–Free-write Friday:  Write about anything you want as long as you don’t mind if I read it.

Complete the introduction from yesterday.  Highlight the parts of the introduction in different colors.  Share with the class.

  • Finish our group activity from Friday–recombining the sentences from your partners’ paragraphs.
  • Owners of paragraphs will then revise their paragraphs, using feedback from peers.

 

Tuesday

  • Respond to a journal prompt in your online journal.
  • Take notes over transitions. They will go on the next LEFT blank page after sentence variety notes in our content section.
  • Identify transitions in a model expository paragraph.

 

Wednesday

  • Would you Rather Wednesday–Would you rather receive $1000 right now OR receive $50 a month for the rest of your life?
  • Revise your Digital Life paragraphs (incorporating suggestions from your group mates–or not). Label your final copy as such in your document.
  • Copy and paste your paragraph into Peg writing. Use the peer edit function before submitting it.
  • If you finish, you will complete activities in Peg as assigned.

  • Respond to a journal prompt:  Thankful Thursday–Write about something you are thankful for.
  • Finish peer editing and revising Digital Life paragraphs in PEG.  Make final submissions today.
