  • Homework: Continue researching your persuasive paper topic.  Complete the first five rows of your Dialectical Research Journal.

Tuesday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt: Top Two Tuesday–What are your top two favorite movie characters or book characters ever?  Explain why.
  • Fill in your persuasive paper organizer.

Wednesday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt:  Would you Rather Wednesday:  Would you rather have super-sensitive taste or super-sensitive hearing?  Explain why.
  • Watch a video about writing a persuasive claim.
  • Work on writing a claim for our persuasive paper.  Write your claim on the organizer.

Thursday

  • Respond to the following journal prompt:  Three Things Thursday: What are three things you would love to do, but something is holding you back?  Give details.
  • Watch a video about writing a counter argument/claim and rebuttal.
  • Work on writing a counter argument for your persuasive paper.  Write your counter argument and rebuttal on your organizer.

  • Finish all of your work for Thursday, Friday, and Monday (two sentence combining documents and parallel structure packet)–due tomorrow at the beginning of class.
  • Write a well-developed paragraph/response to the article linked on today’s post in classroom about balancing your digital life with other aspects of your life.

  • Get in groups to break apart paragraphs into a group of sentences and recombine, using the six structures we have learned in our notes.
